Charminar is built in the heart of the Capital City Hyderabad. Its landmark had become an Icon. Golconda was the capital during the period and later changed to Hyderabad as capital city.
Charminar, the name in English is binding of 2 Urdu name Char and Minar. It is built in the year 1591 by the 5th emperor of Qutb Shahi Dynasty, Mohammad Quli Qutb Shah. Charminar has history of 500years. During the period of Quli Qutb Shah People suffered with severe plague, so there was prayer and promise made to built mosque till the last day of the plague. That’s the year 1591 the Charminar was established. It is built with granite and lime mortar. A famous Persian architecture was made its layout.
Charminar is a square structured with four Minarets of each 180feet long approximately from the base with Four Arches associated with 20meters from the ground and facing 4 directions. It has 149 steps to reach the upper floor. A beautiful mosque is built in the western side of the roof and remaining used for court in the times of Qutb Shahi. Now the prayer in served there on every Friday. There are 45 prayer spaces. In the West side of Charminar there built a famous mosque with brick made from the soil brought from holy land Mecca of Islam and named the mosque as Mekkah Masjid.
Also it is said that there was a tunnel under earth between Golconda to Charminar.

Golconda earlier known as Golla Konda “A Sheperd Hill ” . Golconda is founded by kings of Warangal of Kakatiya Dynasty during 13th Century. History says that once a shepherd boy found an Idol on the hill of “Mangalavaram” and informed the king of Kakatiya and the king made a small mud fort, Later it is rebuilt by Qutub Shahi kings. The Existing structure was expanded by Qutub Shah King Ibrahim of 4Th Dynasty in the year 1512. The fort is situated on the 120meters Hill and surrounded with 11km of Outer wall. There are 8 gateways , mounted with huge apartments, temples, mosques , gardens and there is a victory gate known as Fateh Darwaza which we enter these days. The Fort is surrounding with Ramparts built strongly on hills.
Kings of Qutub Shahi’s tombs is located 1Km outside outer wall with beautiful landscape garden. It is also said that Bhakt Ramdass was imprisoned during king Abul Hasan Tana Shah the 8th Qutub Shahi.
Golconda had named for acquiring vast wealth. Golconda is rich in providing precious Diamonds and pearls. It is also known as Diamond Market. It has provided world a huge diamonds. Europeans believed that Diamonds are only found in Golconda Mines. It is also known for famous diamonds like Kohinoor Diamonds, The Hope Diamonds, Darya-e-Nur Diamonds etc.

ZOO PARK (Nehru Zoological Park)

Zoo in Hyderabad was started its public service in the year 1963. It has a vast area of 380acres of land which looks like dense forest. It is managed and supported by Forest Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is named after our Prime Minister Cha Cha Nehru ji.
There are around 2000+ different animals placed based on the complete study over animal’s habitants, food and climate. It attracts 100’s of people every day. The park is filled with Herbivorous, Carnivorous, Reptiles, Insects, Aquatic animals, Birds. Also the park special attraction of Lion safari, Tiger safari, Bear safari, Elephant safari etc. It is a good place for children’s especially school going children’s to make them learn and study.
